Known also as "bean plates" (mamezara), these are little plates designed for portion control . Don't let your snacking get out of control by pouring out portions on these plates. Kihara has sought to bring once high-brow Arita ware for functional and daily use, this is a fun piece to have in your kitchen cabinet. Perhaps you may have better luck in getting your kid to eat a stick of carrot off the rabbit plate?
Microwave and dishwasher safe. However, exposure to prolonged high heat is not recommended i.e. putting it into a wok for steaming.
*Uneven colouring or glaze drips are due to the firing process in the kilns. Little specks may be the iron or rough soil in the clay.
Provenance: Arita is the leading Japanese porcelain making site since 1616, and was pivotal in influencing European porcelain ware. It is known for their light and strong qualities, with excellent painting and glazing by Arita artisans.
Care instructions: Clean with a soft sponge to prevent scratches.
